Hex Sweep

Clear touching color groups on a hex grid, then use falling cells and column shifts to chain efficient clears.

Start

About game

Hex Sweep is a compact strategy puzzle where each tap removes a connected group of matching hex cells. After every clear, cells drop downward and empty columns slide left, which constantly reshapes your options. Good runs come from planning two or three moves ahead instead of reacting to single groups.

Objective

Remove all cells from the board in as few moves as possible. If only isolated single cells remain, the round ends, so build larger connected clears early and preserve flexibility for the final columns.

Controls

  • Desktop: click a connected group with at least two matching cells
  • Mobile: tap a connected group to clear it
  • Use Restart to replay the same layout or New puzzle for a fresh board

Rules

  • A move is valid only when the selected group contains two or more touching cells
  • After a clear, cells fall down and fully empty columns shift to the left
  • The round is won when the board is empty and lost when no valid groups remain

Tips

  • Avoid breaking large clusters into many isolated singles
  • Use column shifts to merge same-color groups before tapping
  • Check both center and edge columns before committing late moves

Session

Most rounds take 1-4 minutes and work well for quick puzzle breaks.
