2048 Lite is a compact puzzle game where every move slides all tiles in one direction. When two tiles with the same value collide, they merge into one tile with doubled value. The board fills quickly, so planning two or three moves ahead is the key to long runs.
Objective
Reach the 2048 tile and continue as long as you can to improve your score. The game ends when no valid move remains.
Controls
- Desktop: use Arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right)
- Mobile: swipe in the direction you want to move
- Every move shifts all tiles; a new tile appears after a valid move
Rules
- Only tiles with the same number can merge
- One tile can merge only once per move
- After each valid move, a new tile appears in an empty cell
- If the board is full and no merges are possible, the session ends
Scoring
You gain points whenever tiles merge. Larger merges bring more points, so preserving space and setting up chain merges is usually better than quick random moves.
Tips
- Keep your highest-value tile in one corner
- Build rows in one direction to avoid breaking structure
- Avoid moves that scatter large tiles across the board
- If possible, leave at least one free row or column for recovery
Session
Average session length is 2-6 minutes. Perfect for short breaks on desktop or mobile.
